01 — WHY IT EXISTS
THE REASON THIS EXISTS
Most business owners I meet have wanted to be doing video for two years or more.
It’s rarely because they can’t find someone. It’s that every video starts from zero. A fresh quote. A fresh brief. Explaining the business again to someone who’s never heard of it. Finding a day everyone’s free. Then waiting three weeks to see it, by which point the reason you made it has passed.
THE FRICTION WINS. IT WINS ALMOST EVERY TIME.
Monthly removes the friction. There’s no quote, because you already know the number. There’s no brief from scratch, because I already know your business. There’s a date in the calendar, and content arrives after it. That’s the whole idea.
We needed to restart our YouTube page and create new content so that we could communicate better with our members. We didn’t have the people or the time to do it ourselves and we needed help.

02 — THE FOUR HOURS
FOUR HOURS, SPENT HOW IT SUITS YOU
The four hours are yours to use across the month. They don’t have to be one block.
ONE HALF DAY
A single concentrated visit and a big push of content out of it.
AN HOUR A WEEK
Suits a business where something different is happening every few days.
TWO BY TWO
Two visits either side of the month. A middle path that works for most.
Nothing in the arrangement forces you into one shape. We work out what fits your business in the first conversation, and we change it whenever it stops fitting.
The weekly option is worth considering if social is your main channel. Filming closer to the moment means the content is about what’s actually happening, not what happened three weeks ago.
03 — WHAT ARRIVES
WHAT ARRIVES EACH MONTH
A run of finished video, cut and formatted for where you’re actually publishing. Vertical for social, square where you need it, wide for your website and YouTube. Captions burned in. Licensed music. Colour graded and sound mixed. Titles and lower thirds in your brand.
There’s no cap on how much finished content comes out of the four hours. If the month yields six pieces, you get six. I’m not counting deliverables against you.
FIRST DRAFTS OF SOCIAL PIECES LAND WITHIN THREE BUSINESS DAYS OF FILMING
FILMED, DIRECTED AND EDITED BY ME, START TO FINISH.
The person who quotes you is the person holding the camera and the person answering the phone.
If a piece needs a voiceover, I’m radio trained and can record it. Plenty of clients would rather use their own voice, or let the interview carry it. All three work, and it’s your call each time.
Jerry can be relied upon to get the shoot done and he follows up quickly with the edited version of the captured content. He is extremely accommodating and has been a pleasure to work with.

04 — THE NUMBER
THE NUMBER, COMPARED HONESTLY
One half day, booked as a project
$2,200
The same four hours, every month
$1,500
$700 LESS PER MONTH THAN BUYING THAT DAY ONCE
That’s not a discount I’m dressing up. It’s simply what happens when I’m not re-quoting, re-briefing and re-learning your business every time.
05 — THE AGREEMENT
THREE MONTHS, ON A HANDSHAKE
Monthly runs on a three month agreement, made verbally. Nothing to sign, no lock-in clause, no notice period buried in a document.
I ask for three months because that’s how long it takes to be worth anything. Month one is me learning your business. Month two is faster and better than month one. By month three you have a body of work rather than a few videos, and we both know whether this is working.
After that we keep going month to month for as long as it’s useful.
IF THE WORK STOPS BEING WORTHWHILE, I WOULD RATHER YOU TOLD ME THAN FELT TRAPPED BY PAPERWORK.
06 — FIRST THREE MONTHS
WHAT THE FIRST THREE MONTHS LOOK LIKE
00
BEFORE WE START
An hour together. What the business does, who buys from it, what you’re sick of explaining. We set the shape of your four hours.
01
MONTH ONE
Filming begins. I arrive with everything. First drafts within three business days of each session.
02
MONTH TWO
Faster, because I’m no longer asking basic questions. Usually where you start suggesting the ideas.
03
MONTH THREE
A library rather than a handful of videos, and a rhythm that runs without anyone organising it.
You don’t need to prepare a set or tidy the workshop. If you’re on camera, I’ll talk you through it, and I’ll keep talking until you forget the camera is there. Most people find the first twenty minutes uncomfortable and the rest fine.
Feedback comes back to me as one consolidated pass within five business days, and revised cuts follow within three.
Jerry has been incredibly easy to work with at every stage, from planning and coordinating shoots through to bringing out the best in on-camera talent and delivering high-quality post-production. Nothing is ever too much trouble. He’s responsive, professional, and always focused on achieving the best outcome for the purpose.

07 — FROM YOU
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU
Not much, and that’s deliberate. Dates each month, in whatever pattern suits. Someone who can point me at what’s actually happening in the business. And a willingness to be on camera, or someone in the business who is.
That last one matters more than the rest. The businesses that get the most out of this are the ones where the owner appears in their own content. People buy from people, and no amount of production polish replaces a business owner saying something true on camera.
IF BEING ON CAMERA IS THE PART YOU’RE DREADING, THAT’S THE PART I’M BEST AT.
I’d recommend Jerry to anyone looking to create quality video content. He has a real ability to make people feel comfortable on camera and consistently produces work that reflects personality, professionalism, and clarity.

08 — SCHEDULING
PRIORITY SCHEDULING
Retainer clients go to the front of the queue. When a week fills up, monthly clients get the dates. It’s one of the practical reasons the arrangement is worth more than the price difference suggests.
It also means that when something urgent lands, a regulation change, a deadline, an opportunity that appears on a Tuesday, you’re not waiting three weeks for a slot.
Helping us put together videos over the Christmas and New Year break when urgent government regulation was occurring meant that we could keep our members up to date and they appreciated the efforts we made.
TOM KENYON, CEO, SSAA
09 — VERSUS HIRING
WHERE IT’S CHEAPER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE
Businesses that reach this point often start asking whether they should just hire someone.
Videographer, first year, all in
$100,000+
Monthly, per year
$18,000
Superannuation, payroll tax, leave, camera and lens kit, a machine that can edit, software subscriptions, insurance and the cost of recruiting them. And they produce nothing during the weeks they’re on leave or waiting for a brief.
10 — OVER TIME
WHAT IT BUILDS OVER TIME
The point of monthly isn’t any single video. It’s what accumulates.
Through our work with Jerry, we’ve built a strong video library that showcases many facets of our work and connects viewers with important information.

Nice clean images that present our products, services and people in the best light. I love the work that you do for Maxispan.

11 — WRONG FOR
WHO THIS IS WRONG FOR
I’d rather say it than have you find out in month two.
If you need one video, once, for a specific launch, this isn’t the right product. Book a Half Day instead and I’ll make you something good.
If nobody in the business is willing to appear on camera and there’s no product or process worth filming, four hours a month will be a struggle to fill.
And if what you want is a single high-end brand film with a treatment, a crew and a colourist, that’s the Production tier, not this one.
The Pickup is $690. One location, one finished video, two hours. If you go monthly within 30 days, that $690 comes off your first invoice.
MONTH ONE COSTS $810
If you need to communicate effectively with members or customers then Jerry is your guy. His flexible, no-nonsense approach means that you can be to the point and effective with a minimum of fuss.
